What happened?

Monterey Mushrooms recently experienced a cyberattack involving unauthorized access to its computer network. The data breach occurred between Aug. 2, 2025, and Aug. 7, 2025. The INC RANSOM ransomware group claimed responsibility for the incident and posted data breach details on the dark web on Sept. 5, 2025.

On Aug. 30, 2025, Monterey Mushrooms determined that files accessed during the breach may have contained sensitive personal information. The company has notified impacted individuals by mail.
