What Happened?

In March 2025, Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company discovered a significant data security incident. On or around March 23, the company detected a network disruption and immediately began investigating with the help of cybersecurity specialists. The investigation revealed that unauthorized access had occurred between Feb. 20, 2025, and March 23, 2025. During this time, data was downloaded from certain systems.

By March 28th, the ransomware group, HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL, posted on their dark web website claiming to have exfiltrated 383 gigabytes of data.
