About Avosina Healthcare Solutions

Avosina Healthcare Solutions is a physician-owned company that provides revenue cycle management and healthcare IT services. The company offers a range of services, including medical billing and coding, credentialing, denial management, accounts receivable management, and IT support.

Avosina Healthcare Solutions is also a third-party billing vendor for SomnoSleep Consultants, LLC, whose customers were impacted by the data breach.

What Happened?

In July 2025, Avosina Healthcare Solutions experienced a significant data breach. On July 29, 2025, the company discovered that an unknown threat actor had compromised parts of their computer system.

The company was able to restore their services using backups, but further investigation revealed that the intruder accessed certain document files and applications of customers belonging to SomnoSleep Consultants.

Evidence was found that some documents were exfiltrated by the intruder, and personal information may have been viewed. The ransomware group Qilin claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about the breach on the dark web on Aug. 7, 2025.

Avosina Healthcare Solutions notified SomnoSleep Consultants on Sept. 29, 2025, and provided additional information on November 17, 2025. The company has also notified impacted patients by mail.
