On July 17, 2025, Survival Flight Inc. discovered a cybersecurity incident that impacted its information technology systems. An investigation has been launched and has determined that both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) belonging to patients has been compromised.
The company published a Notice of Security Incident on its website on Aug. 12, 2025. Exposed information includes names, addresses, health insurance details and medical treatment information. A review is taking place and may uncover additional exposed information such as Social Security number and payment information.
On Sept. 12, 2025, the hacking group Worldleaks claimed responsibility for the breach and posted about the data leak on the Tor network, indicating that sensitive data may have been made available on the dark web.
In response to the breach, Survival Flight took action to contain the incident and notified law enforcement. Once the investigation and review is complete, the company will notify impacted individuals and provide the full extent of affected information, along with resources to help protect compromised PII and PHI.
If you believe your personal information may have been compromised in this breach:
A dedicated call center has been set up for affected individuals with questions about the incident at 1-833-844-8218, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST.

A breach notice means your personal details could be circulating far beyond the organization involved. One practical step is continuous monitoring: services such as Identity Defender (included with an ExpressVPN subscription) can automatically check dark-web markets, flag new credit-file activity, and request removal of your information from data-broker sites.
This kind of “early-warning system” can’t undo a breach, but it can help you spot misuse quickly and limit further exposure. ExpressVPN is offering 61% off, risk-free for 30 days, with ID Theft Insurance included and no extra cost for those who sign up for one or two years.
