
On Nov. 18, 2025, American Soccer Company Inc. DBA Score Sports disclosed a significant cybersecurity event. The cybersecurity incident compromised personally identifiable information (PII) and financial information of at least 8,430.
The breach was first discovered on Aug. 7, 2025, when Score Sports detected suspicious activity on their website. A subsequent investigation, assisted by third-party cybersecurity specialists, revealed that the unauthorized access occurred over a four-month period between April 14, 2025, and Aug. 19, 2025.
So far, the cybersecurity incident has impacted at least 976 residents in Massachusetts and 62 in Maine. However, this is an ongoing investigation, and the number of impacted individuals is subject to change. Exposed information may have included names, addresses, phone numbers, and payment card information. The exposure of PII puts individuals at risk of identity theft and financial fraud.
Beginning on Nov. 18, 2025, Score Sports disclosed the data breach to the California, Maine and Massachusetts Attorney Generals' offices, and began notifying impacted individuals by mail.
In response to the breach, Score Sports immediately secured their website and launched a thorough investigation with the help of cybersecurity experts. The company is also offering complementary credit monitoring services through Cyberscout.
