TRC Cos. $562,500 Washington Job Applicant Settlement

Individuals who applied for a job with TRC Cos. Inc., TRC Environmental Corp., TRC Field Services Inc., TRC Infrastructure West Inc. or TRC Pipeline Services LLC in Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and Jan. 5, 2026, may be eligible to claim an estimated $1,635.17 from a class action settlement.

TRC Companies Inc. and its related entities agreed to pay between $387,500 and $562,500 to settle a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleged TRC failed to include required wage and/or benefits information in job postings for Washington-based positions as mandated by the pay transparency provision of the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110).

Who can file a claim?

Class members must meet the following criteria:

  • They applied for a job opening in the state of Washington.
  • They submitted their application to one or more of the following: TRC Cos. Inc., TRC Environmental Corp., TRC Field Services Inc., TRC Infrastructure West Inc. or TRC Pipeline Services LLC
  • The job posting did not disclose a wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits or other compensation.
  • They submitted their application between Jan. 1, 2023, and Jan. 5, 2026.

The settlement administrator identified eligible individuals based on TRC’s records.

How much can class members receive?

The total settlement fund ranges from $387,500 to $562,500. After deducting settlement administration costs, attorneys’ fees and costs, and a service award for the class representative, the settlement administrator will distribute the remainder equally among all valid claimants.

The estimated payment per class member is $1,635.17, but the actual amount may vary depending on the total number of valid claims submitted and the final settlement fund amount.

How to claim a class action rebate

Class members can file a claim online or complete the claim form they received and mail or email it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is April 28, 2026.

Information required

To file an online claim, class members must provide the notice ID and PIN located on the settlement notice they received. Those who are unable to locate their ID and PIN should contact the settlement administrator at info@EPOASettlement-Jan-05-2026.com or 888-369-3780 and provide their full name and mailing address.

Payout options

The settlement administrator will mail checks to eligible claimants. Checks will expire 180 days after issuance.

$387,500-$562,500 settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund of $387,500 to $562,500 will cover:

  • Settlement administration costs: Up to $20,000
  • Attorneys’ fees: $165,938
  • Attorneys’ expenses: $5,000
  • Service award to class representative: $20,000
  • Payments to eligible class members: The remainder of the fund

  • Final approval hearing: June 26, 2026

When is the TRC Cos. settlement payout date?

The settlement administrator will mail payments to eligible class members approximately 44 days after the the court grants final approval.

Why is there a class action settlement?

The class action lawsuit alleges TRC Cos. Inc. and its related entities failed to include required wage and benefits information in job postings for Washington-based positions in violation of the pay transparency provision of the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110).

TRC denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty, risks and expense of further litigation.
