If you received a notice from Alliance Solutions Group, LLC d/b/a TalentLaunch informing you that your personal information may have been compromised in the May 2023 data breach, you may be eligible to claim up to $5,000 from a class action settlement.

Alliance Solutions Group, LLC, operating as TalentLaunch, has agreed to pay $1.23 million to settle a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges that the company failed to implement and maintain reasonable security measures, which led to a data breach in May 2023. This breach exposed sensitive personal information of approximately 119,000 individuals, including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, medical billing details, and financial account information.

Who is eligible to file for a data breach payout?

You are considered a class member if:

You received a notice from Alliance Solutions Group, LLC d/b/a TalentLaunch, one of its affiliated entities, or the Settlement Administrator stating that your private information may have been affected by the May 2023 data incident.

How much is the class action settlement payment?

Class members can claim one or both of the following:

  • Reimbursement for Out-of-Pocket Losses: You can submit for up to $5,000 of actual, documented monetary losses or expenses that are fairly traceable to the data breach. These losses must have occurred on or after May 2023 and can include:
    • Unreimbursed costs, expenses, or losses resulting from identity theft or fraud, falsified tax returns, or misuse of your Social Security number.
    • Costs incurred to access, freeze, or unfreeze credit reports with any credit reporting agency.
    • Costs for professional services to remedy identity theft or related issues.
    • Unpaid time off work to address issues related to the data incident, calculated at your actual hourly rate.
  • Cash Payment: All class members can also submit for a pro rata cash payment. The payment is estimated at $53.77 per person, final amount to be determined by the number of claims filed.

How to claim a data breach class action rebate

To claim a settlement payment, class members must submit a claim form by the deadline of July 25, 2025. There are two ways to submit your claim:

What information or proof is required to submit a claim?

  • Class Member ID from settlement notice required to submit a claim online or by mail.
  • Out-of-Pocket Losses claims require detailed information and supporting documentation:
    • A description of each loss or unreimbursed expense, along with the amount a date incurred.
    • Each individual loss or expense requires supporting proof such as receipts, bank or credit card statements, and invoices for professional service fees.

Payout options

  • Class members that mail in a claim form will receive a paper check mailed to the address provided.
  • Class members that submit a claim online can select electronic payment or a paper check mailed.

$1.23 Million data breach settlement fund

The settlement fund of $1,225,000 will include these payments:

  • Settlement administration costs: To be determined
  • Attorneys' fees: Up to $408,333.33
  • Attorneys' expenses: Not to exceed $45,000
  • Service awards to class representatives: Up to $2,500 each
  • Payments to approved claimants: Remaining settlement funds

Important dates

  • Final Approval Hearing: August 12, 2025

When is the TalentLaunch data breach settlement payment date?

The final hearing will take place in court on August 12, 2025. Payments will be issued to class members with valid claims approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval.

Why was there a class action lawsuit and settlement?

The lawsuit alleged that Alliance Solutions Group, LLC d/b/a TalentLaunch failed to implement and maintain adequate security measures to protect the private information of individuals in its database. Plaintiffs claimed this failure led to the May 2023 data breach.

TalentLaunch denies any wrongdoing or liability but agreed to settle to avoid the expense of continued litigation and a possible trial.
