Employment seekers who applied for a job with Team Car Care LLC (d/b/a Jiffy Lube) or its related entities in Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 28, 2026, may be eligible to claim an estimated $1,519.58 from a class action settlement.
Team Car Care LLC agreed to pay a minimum of $783,119 and a maximum of $1,181,250 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to disclose wage scales or salary ranges in job postings for positions in Washington as required by state law.
Who can file a claim?
To be considered a class member eligible for compensation, class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening in the state of Washington with Team Car Care LLC or Team Car Care West LLC.
- They applied between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 28, 2026.
- The job posting they applied to did not include a wage scale or salary range.
- They submitted their application through the company’s website or an authorized third-party recruiting platform.
The settlement administrator used records from Team Car Care to identify eligible class members.
How much is the Jiffy Lube payout?
Eligible class members who submit a valid claim form can receive an estimated payment of $1,519.58. This amount is based on a pro rata share of the net settlement fund, which the settlement administrator will distribute equally among all participating class members up to a $5,000 maximum.
The minimum settlement fund is $783,119, and the maximum is $1,181,250. If fewer than 50% of class members submit claims, the settlement administrator will distribute the minimum fund; if more than 50% of class members submit claims, the administrator will increase the fund by $1,519.58 for each additional claimant up to the maximum.
If the calculated amount per claimant exceeds $5,000, the administrator will donate the excess to the Legal Foundation of Washington.
How to claim a settlement payment
Class members can file a claim online or download and print a PDF claim form, complete it and mail or email it to the settlement administrator.

Payout options
The settlement administrator will mail checks to the address class members provide on their claim form. Class members must cash checks within 120 days of issuance or the administrator will send the funds to the state of Washington as unclaimed property.

- Attorneys' fees: $348,468.75
- Attorneys' expenses: Up to $5,000

When is the Jiffy Lube settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will mail checks to eligible claimants within 45 days after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval of the settlement.
Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged Team Car Care LLC and Team Car Care West LLC violated Washington law by not including wage scales or salary ranges in job postings for positions in the state. The plaintiff claimed this violated pay transparency requirements under RCW 49.58.110.
The defendants denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and uncertainties of litigation. The court did not decide in favor of either party.
