Pharmacies in the United States or its territories that paid for e-prescriptions routed through the Surescripts network between Sept. 21, 2010, and July 18, 2025, may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.

Surescripts LLC and Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. (now Veradigm LLC) agreed to pay $39.75 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging antitrust violations, including claims that they conspired to suppress competition and charged supracompetitive prices for e-prescription routing services.

Who can file a claim?

Class members must be a pharmacy located in the United States or its territories that paid for e-prescriptions routed through the Surescripts network at any time between Sept. 21, 2010, and July 18, 2025.

This includes all types of pharmacies, regardless of size or location, and both independent and chain pharmacies.

How much can class members get?

Pro rata payment: The amount each eligible pharmacy can receive from the settlement depends on several factors, including the total number of valid claims and the volume of e-prescriptions each claimant routed through the Surescripts network during the class period. The settlement administrator will distribute the fund on a pro rata basis after deducting court-approved attorneys’ fees, litigation costs, service awards and administration expenses.

Each claimant’s payment = (number of e-prescriptions routed by the claimant during the class period / total number of e-prescriptions routed by all claimants) × net settlement fund

If a claimant's payment would be less than $10, they will not receive it.

How to claim an award

Pharmacies that previously submitted a claim in the earlier RelayHealth settlement (which covered Sept. 21, 2010, to April 19, 2021), do not need to file another claim for that period. However, they may supplement their claim with additional information for the period from April 20, 2021, to July 18, 2025.

Those who did not submit a claim in the RelayHealth settlement must file a claim to participate in this settlement and receive any payment.

Class members can complete the online claim form or download, print, fill out and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Nov. 28, 2025.

  • The total amount paid for each service claimed

Why did this class action settlement happen?

The class action lawsuit alleged Surescripts, Allscripts and RelayHealth entered into agreements that restrained trade, suppressed competition and resulted in supracompetitive prices for e-prescription routing services in violation of federal and state antitrust laws.

The defendants denied all allegations. Both sides agreed to settle to avoid the costs and risks of further litigation and trial.
