SelectQuote Insurance $8.25M Data Privacy Settlement

Consumers who provided their information on www.selectquote.com to obtain an insurance quote during certain periods may qualify to submit a claim for up to $20 from a class action settlement.

SelectQuote Insurance Service agreed to pay $8,250,000 to settle a class action lawsuit claiming it shared users’ personal information with Facebook and TikTok by using tracking pixels on its website.

Who is eligible to claim a SelectQuote payout?

• Florida residents are included in this settlement if they provided their information on selectquote.com for an insurance quote between Oct. 17, 2019, and Oct. 17, 2023.
• California, Maryland and Massachusetts residents are included if they provided their information on selectquote.com for an insurance quote between Oct. 17, 2020, and Oct. 17, 2023.
• Residents of all other states are included if they provided their information on selectquote.com for an insurance quote between Oct. 17, 2021, and Oct. 17, 2023.

How much is the data privacy payout?

Pro rata payment: Eligible claimants can receive up to $20 depending on the total number of valid claims submitted.

How to claim a SelectQuote tracking pixel class action rebate

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit an online claim form or download and print a PDF claim form, complete it and mail it to the settlement administrator. The deadline to file a claim is July 31, 2025.

Information required

Claimants need to provide their Notice ID number from the official settlement notice. If filing online, they also need to provide their confirmation code.

• Zelle

$8.25 million SelectQuote class action settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund of $8,250,000 includes:

• Settlement administration costs: TBD and will be presented to the court for approval at a later date
• Attorneys' fees and costs: Up to $2,750,000
• Service awards to class representatives: $3,500 each
• Payments to approved claimants: The remainder of the settlement fund

When is the SelectQuote settlement payout date?

Payments will be issued 75 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement or claim review and processing is complete.
