You are a class member if:

  • You reside in the United States and received a written notification from Plavan Commercial Fueling, Inc. (P-Fleet) about the February 23, 2024, ransomware incident.

How much is the class action settlement payment?

Class members can submit for one or more of the following:

  • Cash Payment: Class members can submit for a payment of up to $550. The final amount will be determined by the number of claims filed.
  • Credit Monitoring: You can claim three years of three-bureau credit monitoring services.
  • Ordinary Out-of-Pocket Losses: Class members can submit for up to $1,000 per person for unreimbursed expenses incurred in response to the the data breach, such as costs for credit monitoring or other professional services.
  • Extraordinary Losses: You can also claim up to $10,000 for documented financial losses traceable to the ransomware incident, not already covered by other reimbursement categories.
  • Attested Time: All class members can submit for up to 5 hours of time spent dealing with issues related to the breach, at $30 per hour, for no more than $150. This benefit is only for time spent due to identity theft, fraud, falsified tax returns, or misuse of personal information, and is included in the $10,000 cap for extraordinary losses.

How to claim a data breach class action rebate

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by the deadline of June 18, 2025. You can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to mail to the settlement administrator.

Required proof and information

  • Unique ID and PIN from official settlement notice required to submit a claim.

Why is there a class action lawsuit?

This class action lawsuit was filed because of a ransomware incident that occurred on or around February 23, 2024, which may have exposed sensitive personal information. The complaint alleges that Plavan Commercial Fueling, Inc. was negligent and breached implied contracts by failing to adequately protect customer data.
