How much are settlement payments?
Class members have the following benefit options:
- Reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses: Class members can claim up to $5,000 for documented expenses that are fairly traceable to the data breach and that another party has not reimbursed. Eligible expenses include monetary losses due to fraud or identity theft; credit monitoring costs after the data breach; bank, accountant or attorney fees; and postage for contacting financial institutions.
- Pro rata cash fund payment: All class members can submit a claim to receive a pro rata cash payment from the net settlement fund after the settlement administrator pays all other claims. The administrator will determine the final payment amount by the total number of claims filed.
- Medical identity theft protection and monitoring: All class members can elect to receive two years of Medical Shield Complete. Services include medical and health care data monitoring for signs of fraud and single-bureau credit monitoring.
