
Individuals who worked as an hourly, non-exempt employee for Management & Training Corp. in California between Oct. 11, 2022, and Sept. 10, 2025, may be eligible to receive a cash payment from a class action settlement.
Management & Training Corp. has agreed to pay $1.4 million to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged violations of California wage and hour laws. The plaintiffs claimed the company failed to pay overtime and minimum wages, did not provide required meal and rest breaks, failed to reimburse business expenses, and did not issue accurate wage statements, among other alleged violations.
Who are the class members?
Class members are individuals employed at Management & Training Corp. in California at any time from Oct. 11, 2022, to Sept. 10, 2025, and were classified as an hourly, non-exempt employee.
How much will settlement payments be?
Eligible class members will receive the following payments:
- Individual class payments: Eligible class members will receive a cash payment from the net settlement fund. Payment amount will be determined by the number of workweeks worked during the qualifying period.
- Individual PAGA payments: Eligible class members will receive an additional cash payment from the PAGA penalties. Payment amount will be determined by the number of pay periods worked during the PAGA period, which is the same as the class period.
No claim form required
Eligible class members do not need to file a claim to receive a settlement payment. Class members can challenge the number of workweeks credited to them in their notice by mailing a written challenge with supporting documentation to the settlement administrator by May 11, 2026.

$1.4 million settlement fund
The $1,400,000 settlement fund will include:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $11,000
- Attorneys' fees: Up to $490,000
- Attorneys' expenses: Up to $33,000
- Service awards to class representatives: Up to $9,500 each
- PAGA penalties: $50,000, with $37,500 (75%) to the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency and $12,500 (25%) to aggrieved employees
- Payments to class members: Remaining settlement funds

When is the Management & Training Corp. settlement payout date?
Payments will be mailed to eligible class members approximately 109 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.
Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged that Management & Training Corp. violated California labor laws by failing to pay overtime and minimum wages, not providing required meal and rest breaks, failing to reimburse business expenses, and not issuing accurate wage statements. Plaintiffs also sought penalties under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
The company denies the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the expense and uncertainty of continued litigation.
