How much can class members receive?

Class members who submit a valid claim are eligible for two types of benefits:

  • Cash compensation: Each eligible class member can claim a cash award estimated at $25. The settlement administrator may increase or decrease this amount depending on the number of valid claims submitted and the total settlement fund remaining after it deducts attorneys’ fees and expenses, service awards and administration costs.
  • Credit monitoring services: Eligible class members can also claim 24 months of credit monitoring and identity theft protection services, which include coverage through all three national credit reporting bureaus.

Class members can file the online claim form. There is no PDF claim form. The claim deadline is July 20, 2026.

Required information

To file a claim online, class members must provide the CPT ID and passcode from the settlement notice they received. Those who do not have a CPT ID and/or passcode should email LHFJSettlement@cptgroup.com.

$55,000 settlement fund breakdown

The $55,000 settlement fund covers:

  • Attorneys' fees: Up to $18,333.33
  • Attorneys' expenses: Up to $15,000
  • Service award to class representative: Up to $1,500
  • Payments to eligible class members: Remainder of the fund

When is the Foster v. Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers Inc. payout date?

If the court approves the settlement and there are no objections, the settlement administrator will mail payments approximately 31 business days after the final approval hearing.
