Consumers who owned a Keurig K-Supreme, K-Supreme Plus or K-Supreme SMART single-serve coffee maker between Oct. 1, 2020, and June 20, 2025, may be eligible to submit a claim for up to $250 or a 12-month extended warranty from a class action settlement.

Keurig Green Mountain Inc. agreed to pay $950,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged defects in certain coffee makers. The plaintiffs claimed the machines could suddenly and permanently lose power during the descaling process when following Keurig’s instructions.

Who is eligible for a Keurig settlement payout?

The settlement includes two groups of class members.

  • Performance issue claim class: All individuals in the United States who between Oct. 1, 2020, and June 20, 2025, either:
    • Lodged a complaint with Keurig that their eligible coffee maker experienced a permanent loss of power during the descaling process within the first 12 months of purchase and did not receive a remedy from Keurig under its limited warranty
    • OR can demonstrate a valid claim that their coffee maker manifested operational issues associated with the descaling process
  • Coffee maker purchaser class: All individuals in the United States who purchased a K-Supreme, K-Supreme Plus or K-Supreme SMART coffee maker or descaling solution for use with these models between Oct. 1, 2020, and June 20, 2025

Who is excluded from the class?

Consumers whose coffee maker is still within Keurig’s original or extended limited warranty period are not eligible to participate in the settlement.
