Consumers who booked an appointment with Joyous PBC for ketamine therapy between Oct. 5, 2023, and Jan. 2, 2025, after learning of them by a method other than a web advertisement may qualify to claim an estimated $37 from a class action settlement.
Joyous PBC agreed to pay $400,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it disclosed confidential customer information to third parties in violation of California privacy law.
Who are the class members?
Class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They are located in the United States.
- They told Joyous PBC they found the company by a method other than a web advertisement (for example, through a friend, search engine or other non-advertising means) between Oct. 5, 2023, and Jan. 2, 2025.
- They booked an appointment to use Joyous PBC’s services.
- They completed a screening questionnaire as part of the booking process.

How much is the Joyous PBC payout?
Pro rata payment: Each class member is eligible to receive a pro rata (equal) share of the settlement fund. The anticipated payment is approximately $37 per person, but the final amount may vary depending on the number of valid claims and deductions for attorneys' fees and costs, a service award to the class representative and settlement administration costs.
