Individuals who worked as DoorDash drivers in California and opted out of certain previous settlements may be eligible to claim compensation from a class action settlement.

DoorDash Inc. agreed to a settlement to resolve a lawsuit brought by the State of California regarding its business practices.

Who can file a claim?

Eligibility for this settlement is limited to two specific groups of DoorDash drivers defined by the time period during which they delivered and their participation in previous class action lawsuits.

  • Marko restitution eligible drivers: Drivers who completed at least one delivery in California between Aug. 30, 2016, and Dec. 31, 2020; opted out of the settlement class in Marko, et al. v. DoorDash Inc., Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC659841; and did not individually settled their claims with DoorDash
  • Marciano restitution eligible drivers: Drivers who completed at least one delivery in California between June 17, 2016, and Aug. 29, 2016, and who opted out of the settlement class in Marciano, et al. v. DoorDash Inc., San Francisco Superior Court Case No. CGC-15-548101

How much can class members get?

The settlement administrator will distribute the total settlement fund among all eligible claimants who submit valid claims by the deadline. The final payout per person will depend on the number of valid claims and the net settlement fund remaining after administrative costs and other court-approved expenses.
