Individuals who received more than one text message or phone call from Coast Dental Services LLC after asking the company to stop may be eligible to claim up to $59 in cash or a $99 voucher from a class action settlement.
Coast Dental Services agreed to pay $3,840,664 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging the company sent marketing text messages and phone calls to consumers after those individuals requested not to receive further solicitations. The lawsuit claimed these actions violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act.
Who can file a claim?
Eligible class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They received more than one text message or phone call within any 12-month period from Coast Dental Services.
- The messages or calls contained reminders or encouragements to schedule an appointment with Coast Dental Services.
- Coast Dental Services sent the communications to their cellular telephone number.
- They previously made a request to Coast Dental Services to stop receiving future solicitations by replying with “stop” or a similar opt-out instruction in response to a text message.
- They received the messages or calls within four years prior to the filing of the lawsuit.
How much can class members get?
Class members who submit a valid claim may choose between two payment options:
- Up to $59 in cash
- Up to $99 in a voucher that can be used to purchase an electronic toothbrush from Coast Dental Services
The actual amount each class member receives may be less than the maximum, depending on the number of valid claims submitted and deductions for attorneys’ fees and costs, administration costs and service awards.
How to claim a settlement payment
To claim an award, eligible class members must submit an online claim form or print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator. Each class member can only submit one claim despite the number of call or texts they received.

- Service award to class representative: Up to $7,500
- Payments to eligible class members: Remainder of the settlement fund

When is the Coast Dental Servces TCPA settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments within 60 days after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval of the settlement.
