
Individuals who applied for a job with AVI-SPL in Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and May 5, 2026, in which the job posting did not include a wage scale or salary range may be eligible to submit a claim for a cash payment from a class action settlement. The settlement class includes 260 applicants.
AVI-SPL LLC agreed to pay up to $650,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to disclose wage scales or salary ranges in job postings as required by Washington law.
Who can file a claim?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening in the state of Washington with AVI-SPL.
- They submitted their application between Jan. 1, 2023, and May 5, 2026.
- The job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and a general description of all benefits or other compensation for the position.
How much are settlement payments?
Pro rata cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a pro rata cash payment of up to $5,000 from the net settlement fund. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the number of claims filed and deductions for attorneys' fees and costs, administration costs and service award to class representatives.
How to claim a class action rebate
To claim a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or complete the paper claim form they received and mail or email it to the settlement administrator.

Settlement fund breakdown
The settlement fund of up to $650,000 will include:

When is the AVI-SPL job posting settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to approved claimants approximately 59 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged AVI-SPL LLC violated Washington law by not including wage scales or salary ranges in job postings for positions in Washington state.
AVI-SPL denies the allegations, however agreed to settle to avoid the expense and risk of continued litigation.
