Aidvantage $3 Million TCPA Class Action Settlement

Individuals who received an artificial or prerecorded voice call on their cell phone from Maximus Education, d/b/a Aidvantage, and were not an Aidvantage customer may qualify to claim an estimated $500 to $1,000 from a class action settlement. The settlement class includes approximately 32,188 unique cellular numbers.

Maximus Education LLC agreed to pay $3 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it placed artificial or prerecorded voice calls to certain cell phone numbers without prior express consent in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Who can file a claim for a TCPA settlement payout?

Class members must meet the following criteria:

• They reside in the United States and received a call on a cell phone placed by or on behalf of Maximus Education, d/b/a Aidvantage.
• They received the call between Feb. 12, 2021 and Sept. 26, 2025.
• The call used an artificial or prerecorded voice.
• The cell number called was not assigned to a current or former Aidvantage customer or accountholder.

How much are settlement payments?

Cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a pro rata cash payment from the net settlement fund estimated between $500 and $1,000. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the total number of claims filed.

How to claim a class action rebate

To claim a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or complete the paper claim form included with their notice and mail it to the settlement administrator.

Required proof and claim information

• Online claims require the class member ID from the settlement notice.
• If a class member did not receive a settlement notice, they must provide proof that they received an artificial or prerecorded call during the qualifying period to the settlement administrator to receive a claim form.

When is the Aidvantage TCPA settlement payout date?

The settlement administrator will issue payments to approved claimants approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.

Why is there a class action settlement?

The class action lawsuit alleged Aidvantage violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by placing artificial or prerecorded voice calls to noncustomer cell phone without prior express consent.

Aidvantage denies the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the risk and expense of continued litigation.
