The August 2025 Data Breach
In August 2025, Wytech Industries experienced a significant data breach involving a ransomware attack by a group known as Akira. The breach was first posted on the dark web on Aug. 8, 2025, with the attackers claiming to have obtained over 42 GB of organizational data.
On Aug. 29, 2025, Wytech disclosed the incident to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The compromised data reportedly includes both company and individual information. The types of consumer information exposed in this breach include:

Wytech began notifying individuals by mail on Oct. 15, 2025 and disclosed the data breach to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on the same day.
