What Happened?
Between Aug. 8, 2024, and Sept. 6, 2024, Wood River Health experienced a data security incident involving unauthorized access to an employee email account. The breach was discovered on May 29, 2025, after an investigation with outside assistance.
The review revealed that an unauthorized actor may have viewed or acquired sensitive information belonging to patients and others associated with the health center.
A total of 54,926 people in the United States were affected by this breach, including 210 residents of Massachusetts and 64 residents in Maine. Written notices were sent to impacted individuals starting July 28, 2025.
