What Happened?
In July 2026, Trustage identified a cybersecurity incident that affected its systems. On July 15, the company confirmed the breach and immediately activated its incident response protocols. External cybersecurity experts were brought in to help contain and remediate the situation.
Trustage proactively shut down parts of its network to protect sensitive data and began working to restore affected services.
This incident disrupted some insurance services, especially those provided through credit union partners, such as claims for GAP insurance, mechanical repair coverage and payment protection products.
