What Happened?
On October 5, 2025, Summit was notified by its managed service provider that an external threat actor had accessed certain corporate servers and exfiltrated documents. Summit took immediate steps to contain the incident, notified federal law enforcement and engaged third party cybersecurity experts to lead forensic and remediation efforts.
A hacking group called "Worldleaks" claimed responsibility for the breach and threatened to publish the stolen data on the dark web. The incident was contained by October 6, 2025.
A detailed review of the affected data was completed on October 26, 2025. Summit determined that the personally identifiable information (PII) may have been disclosed.
