Sedgebrook's services are delivered on a single campus and include non-acute medical care, therapy, social services and 24/7 supervision by registered nurses. Sedgebrook also offers wellness programs, dining options and home care services under the name Sedgebrook at Home.

What happened?

Sedgebrook discovered suspicious activity within its computer network on May 5, 2025. An investigation found that a threat actor accessed Sedgebrook’s computer network from May 4 to May 5, 2025, and encrypted and possibly acquired certain files containing sensitive information.

A review was completed on Aug. 26, 2025, identifying affected individuals. Notification letters began going out on Oct. 24, 2025, to those with valid mailing addresses.

Sedgebrook published a Notice of Data Incident on its website. The data breach was also disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on Oct. 23, 2024.
