Radiology Associates of San Luis Obispo utilizes integrated PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) that allows referring physicians to access patient images and reports instantly.

What happened?

Radiology Associates of San Luis Obispo discovered unusual activity in certain employee email accounts on March 13, 2025. An investigation revealed that a cybercriminal gained access to the organization's internal email network between Feb. 3, 2025, and March 17, 2025.

After reviewing the impacted accounts, the company determined that personal and protected information may have been accessed. Notification letters began going out to impacted individuals on Sept. 10, 2025.
