What Happened?
Nottingham Village detected unauthorized access to its network on Nov. 9, 2025, after a cybersecurity incident.
The company secured its network and began an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity professionals. The investigation revealed that files may have been accessed or removed by unauthorized individuals between Nov. 8 and Nov. 9, 2025.
On May 12, 2026, Nottingham Village determined that some files containing personal information were impacted. The company notified affected individuals in writing on May 22, 2026.
A total of 7,919 people in the United States were affected, including four in Maine.
A ransomware group known as Qilin claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about the breach on the dark web on Nov. 25, 2025. The group claimed to have obtained 110 GB of data.
