What Happened?

A threat actor known as ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for the breach, posting on the dark web on April 17, 2026. The actor alleges that over nine million records containing personally identifiable information (PII) and terabytes of internal corporate data were compromised.
Medtronic’s investigation is ongoing, and they are working to identify any personal information that may have been accessed. At this time, the affected information remains undisclosed. Notifications and support services will be provided as needed.
