The Medical Imaging Partnership, doing business as Precision Imaging Centers (Precision), a radiology and diagnostic imaging company based in Jacksonville, Florida, disclosed a data breach that affected individuals in the United States

The breach was disclosed to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on July 6, 2026. Precision Imaging Centers first became aware of the incident on May 7, 2026, and posted a notice on its website on July 6, 2026.

Precision Imaging Centers detected suspicious activity within its computer network. A subsequent investigation determined that the company's network had been subject to unauthorized access by an unknown actor. During that unauthorized access, certain files were copied from the system.

At the time of the notice, Precision Imaging Centers was conducting a comprehensive review of the contents of the affected files. The goal of the review was to identify what protected health information was contained in the copied files and to determine which patients' data was involved.

As the review remains in progress, the company could not yet confirm whether any specific individual's information had been affected.

Precision Imaging Centers' response to the breach

Precision Imaging Centers set up a dedicated assistance line at 904-203-4347 for patients who have questions about the incident.

The company encouraged potentially impacted individuals to remain vigilant by reviewing their accounts and credit reports for any suspicious activity and to report any suspicious findings to the related institutions immediately. Precision Imaging Centers also recommended that individuals contact the three major credit reporting agencies to learn about placing fraud alerts or credit freezes on their credit files.
