On Sept. 11, 2025, Naval Continuing Care Retirement Foundation, also known as Fleet Landing, a senior living organization in Florida, detected suspicious activity within its network. A investigation revealed that a data breach occurred between Sept. 11 and Sept. 12, 2024, when a threat actor accessed or acquired files containing sensitive data.

A review took place and determined that the data breach compromised at least 7,509 individuals. Exposed information has not been publicly disclosed, but may include names, contact information, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, health insurance information, medical information and financial information.

Naval Continuing Care Retirement Foundation began notifying impacted individuals and residents by mail on Nov. 4, 2025. The cybersecurity incident was also disclosed to the Maine Attorney General's office on Nov. 5, 2025.

Fleet Landing’s response

In response to the breach, Fleet Landing worked to secure its network and engaged with cybersecurity experts. In addition to required state and federal disclosures, the company is offering 12 free months of HaystackID credit monitoring and identity protection services.
