Bronx Pro Group, a real estate development and property management company experienced a data breach. This incident was the result of a ransomware attack carried out by the Akira ransomware group, which claimed responsibility for the breach on the dark web on May 22, 2025.
The Akira group published the stolen data on the Tor network, further increasing the risk of identity theft and financial fraud for those affected. The data breach was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on June 27, 2025 and exposed personally identifiable information (PII).
Compromised information may include tenant Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account details and other personal information.
In addition to the required state disclosures, Bronx Pro Group will work to identify and notify affected individuals with the data breach details.
If you believe your personal and financial information may have been compromised in this breach:

A breach notice means your personal details could be circulating far beyond the organization involved. One practical step is continuous monitoring: services such as Identity Defender (included with an ExpressVPN subscription) can automatically check dark-web markets, flag new credit-file activity, and request removal of your information from data-broker sites.
This kind of “early-warning system” can’t undo a breach, but it can help you spot misuse quickly and limit further exposure. ExpressVPN is offering 61% off, risk-free for 30 days, with ID Theft Insurance included and no extra cost for those who sign up for one or two years.
