Aprio Advisory Group Data Breach Exposes Financial and Medical Info

Aprio Advisory Group LLC disclosed a data breach that exposed consumers' sensitive personal information.

Aprio Advisory Group is the advisory arm of Aprio, a business advisory, tax and accounting firm headquartered in Atlanta with roots going back to 1952.

The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation and the Texas Attorney General on Sept. 21, 2026. According to the Texas filing, 500 Texas residents were identified as affected. The company is notifying affected individuals by U.S. Mail.

The types of personal information exposed in the breach included names, Social Security numbers, financial information such as account numbers, credit card numbers and debit card numbers and medical information.

Aprio Advisory Group's response to the breach

Aprio Advisory Group has set up a dedicated phone line for individuals who have questions about the breach. Affected individuals can call 1-833-918-0879 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.

Individuals may also direct written inquiries to the company at 120 SE 6th Ave., Suite 200, Topeka, KS 66603.

The company's notification letter included detailed contact information for the three major credit reporting bureaus to help affected individuals take protective action. The letter provided phone numbers and mailing addresses for Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, including separate addresses for submitting fraud alert requests and credit freeze requests.
