
Patients of Redeemer Health or Holy Redeemer Health who used the providers' website, patient portals or online forms between Jan. 1, 2019, and March 21, 2023, may be eligible to submit a claim for a $25 cash payment and/or one year of identity protection services from a class action settlement.
Redeemer Health agreed to settle a privacy violation class action lawsuit. The class action claimed Redeemer Health used third-party tracking technologies, known as “tracking pixels,” on its websites and patient portals, which may have resulted in the unauthorized transmission of patients’ personal and health information to outside parties.
Who can file a claim for a privacy settlement payout?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- They are a current or former patient of Redeemer Health or Holy Redeemer Health.
- They used the Redeemer web properties’ patient portals and/or submitted forms through the Redeemer website between Jan. 1, 2019, and March 21, 2023, which includes:
- Webpages located at www.redeemerhealth.org
- The Redeemer website button that links users to the patient portal login webpages and the patient portals themselves, including those operated by third-party vendors
- Contact us forms, such as the Lafayette contact us form and Maternity contact us form
- Appointment scheduling forms
How much will the class action payment be?
Class can claim one or both of the following benefits:
- Cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a $25 cash payment.
- Identity protection services: All class members can also elect to receive one free year of CyEx Privacy Shield Pro identity protection services.
How to claim a class action rebate
To receive a settlement payment or identity protection, class members must submit a a valid claim form. They can submit the online claim form or print the PDF claim form to mail to the settlement administrator.

Class members must submit claims online or postmark them by the Jan. 9, 2026, deadline.

- Check (only option for mailed claims)
Pixel privacy settlement fund breakdown
The Redeemer Health settlement fund will include:
- Settlement administration costs: To be determined
- Attorneys’ fees, costs, and litigation expenses: Up to $1,750,000
- Service awards to class representatives: $2,500 each ($7,500 total)
- Identity monitoring services: Cost determined by number of claims filed
- Cash payments to approved claimants: Total determined by number of claims filed

When is the Redeemer Health pixel tracking settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to eligible claimants after it completes claim processing and the court grants final approval of the settlement.
Why did this class action settlement happen?
This class action lawsuit alleged Redeemer Health used tracking pixels on its website and patient portals, which may have resulted in the unauthorized sharing of patients’ personal and health information with third parties. Redeemer Health denies these allegations and any wrongdoing.
The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost, disruption and uncertainty of continued litigation. As part of the settlement, Redeemer Health will implement changes to comply with HIPAA requirements.
