Individuals who received a notice stating Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron’s use of the Meta pixel or similar technology potentially affected their private information may qualify to claim a $19 payment and two years of identity theft protection from a class action settlement.

Who can file an Akron Children's Hospital claim?

Class members must have received a postcard or email notice stating the hospital’s use of the Meta pixel or similar technology affected their data. Only those who received a notice are eligible to receive benefits. Those who did not receive a notice are likely not eligible.

The class includes approximately 313,700 Ohio citizens.

How to claim class action benefits

Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print, complete and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Sept. 29, 2025.

Information required

All class members must provide the notice ID located on their settlement notice. Online claimants must also provide the confirmation code from the same notice.
