Individuals who accessed the website or patient portal for Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida aka Mount Sinai Medical Center between June 10, 2021, and Sept. 18, 2025, may be eligible to claim approximately $20 and receive a year of free medical data monitoring from a class action settlement.

Mount Sinai Medical Center agreed to settle a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleged the hospital disclosed personally identifying information, protected health information and confidential communications to third parties through tracking, analytics and advertising technologies on its website and patient portal.

Who can file a claim for a settlement payout?

Eligible class members include all living individuals who accessed the Mount Sinai Medical Center's website or patient portal between June 10, 2021, and Sept. 18, 2025, regardless of whether they were a patient.

How much are settlement payments?

Each class member who submits a valid claim can receive a pro rata cash payment. The estimated amount is $20 per person, but the final amount may be higher or lower depending on the total number of valid claims submitted.

In addition, all class members will automatically receive an activation code to enroll in one year of free medical data monitoring regardless of whether they submit a claim form.

To receive a cash payment, class members can file a claim online or download the PDF claim form to complete and mail to the settlement administrator.
