
Individuals who received notice that the November 2024, December 2024 or January 2025 data incidents involving Legends Hospitality may have affected their personal information could be eligible to claim up to $5,000 from a class action settlement.
Legends Hospitality LLC agreed to pay $812,900 to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging targeted cyberattacks exposed private information, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government ID numbers, financial data, medical information and health insurance details.
Who can file a claim?
The settlement class is defined as all living individuals residing in the United States whose information the November 2024, December 2024 or January 2025 cyberattacks Legends Hospitality data incidents potentially impacted or whom the company notified of these incidents.
Individuals who received a notice from the company regarding the breach are likely included in the class.
How much can class members receive?
There are two types of cash payments available, but class members may only claim one. All class members are also eligible for credit monitoring:
- Cash payment A – documented losses: Class members who experienced actual, documented out-of-pocket losses due to the data incidents can claim reimbursement for up to $5,000. They cannot claim expenses that a third party already reimbursed. Eligible expenses include:
- Losses from identity theft or fraud
- Fees for credit reports, credit monitoring or freezing/unfreezing credit
- Costs to replace IDs
- Postage for contacting banks by mail
- Cash payment B – alternate cash: If class members do not have documented losses, they may claim a one-time cash payment. This payment is currently estimated at $200, but the final amount may be higher or lower depending on the number of valid claims. No documentation is required for this option.
- Credit monitoring: All class members are eligible to enroll in three years of CyEx Financial Shield Total, which includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance and monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized transactions and high-risk activity. This benefit is available regardless of whether they claim a cash payment.
How to claim a class action payout
To receive compensation or credit monitoring, class members can file a claim online or download and print a PDF claim form, complete it and mail it to the settlement administrator.

- Service awards to class representatives: $2,500 each

When is the Legends Hospitality settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval to the settlements.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The lawsuit claimed targeted cyberattacks on Legends Hospitality's computer systems in late 2024 and early 2025 resulted in unauthorized access to files containing sensitive personal information. The lawsuit alleged the company failed to adequately protect this data.
Legends Hospitality denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs, risks and uncertainty of ongoing litigation.
