McDonald's Franchisee $681,600 Washington Jobs Settlement
McDonald's Franchisee $681,600 Washington Jobs Settlement

Job seekers who applied for a job with McDonald's franchisee KTC LLC in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and March 13, 2025, may be eligible to claim an estimated $1,093.40 from a class action settlement.

KTC LLC agreed to pay $681,600 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to disclose wage scales or salary ranges in job postings for open positions in Washington as required by the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act.

Who are the class members?

Individuals must meet all of the following criteria:

  • They applied for a job opening with KTC LLC (McDonald’s) in the state of Washington.
  • They submitted the application between Jan. 1, 2023, and March 13, 2025.
  • The job posting for the position did not include a wage scale or salary range as required by RCW 49.58.110.

The settlement administrator used KTC LLC’s records to identify eligible individuals.

How much can class members get?

Each eligible class member who does not exclude themselves from the settlement will receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. The estimated payment per class member is $1,093.40.

The settlement administrator determined this amount by dividing the net settlement fund (after deducting attorneys’ fees and costs, settlement administration costs and the service award to the class representative) by the total number of eligible class members. It will report payments as nonwage damages and interest (1099).

No action needed to receive payment

Most class members do not need to take any action to receive their payment. Those who received a notice by mail will automatically receive payment after the court finalizes the settlement provided they do not opt out.

Class members who only received an email notice must provide their current mailing address to the settlement administrator by June 23, 2025, to receive payment. They can contact the settlement administrator at info@KTCSettlement.com or 888-369-3780.
