
Jefferson Healthcare patients who visited the company's website for their own health care needs between March 19, 2020, and March 19, 2024, may qualify to claim a free 12-month subscription to CyEx Privacy Shield from a class action settlement.
Jefferson County Public Hospital District No. 2, doing business as Jefferson Healthcare, agreed to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging it used Meta Pixel and similar tracking technologies on its website, which the plaintiffs claim disclosed protected health information to third parties.
Who can file a claim?
Class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They were a patient of Jefferson Healthcare at any time between March 19, 2020, and March 19, 2024.
- They visited the Jefferson Healthcare website (http://jeffersonhealthcare.org) during that same period.
- They visited the website for their own health care needs.
How much is the Jefferson Healthcare payout?
Each eligible class member who submits a valid claim will receive a voucher for a 12-month subscription to the CyEx Privacy Shield product, which includes the following features:
- Data broker opt-out
- VPN in Touch
- Digital vault
- Password defense
- Dark web watchlist
- Password scan
- Private search
There is no cash payment associated with this settlement.
How to claim a settlement benefit
Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator The claim deadline is Nov. 17, 2025.

Each class member is allowed to submit only one claim form. The settlement administrator will reject duplicate claims.
Required claim information
All claimants must provide the unique ID located on the settlement notice they received. Online claimants must also provide the PIN located on the same notice. Those who are unable to locate their ID and PIN should contact the settlement administrator at info@JCPHDpixelsettlement.com or 844-496-0773 and provide their full name and mailing address.

Settlement fund breakdown
The settlement fund includes:
- Settlement administration costs: To be determined
- Attorneys’ fees and costs: $125,000
- Service awards to class representatives: $2,500
- Payments to eligible class members: Value of CyEx Privacy Shield subscriptions ($330 retail value)

When is the Jefferson Healthcare pixel settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will distribute vouchers approximately 31 days after it processes all claims and the court grants final approval.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged Jefferson Healthcare installed Meta Pixel and similar tracking technologies on its website that disclosed protected health information to third parties, such as Facebook and Google.
Jefferson Healthcare denies all allegations of wrongdoing. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the expense, burden and uncertainty of continued litigation.
As part of the settlement, Jefferson Healthcare will not use Meta Pixel on its website for at least two years unless it uses it lawfully and discloses it in the website’s privacy statement.
