If you applied for a job with HP Inc. or HP Health Solutions Inc. in Washington state between January 1, 2023, and March 26, 2025, where the job posting did not include a wage scale or salary range, you may be eligible to submit a claim a cash benefit from a class action settlement.
HP Inc. and HP Health Solutions Inc. have agreed to pay $5,612,000 to settle a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit claimed that these companies failed to disclose wage scale or salary range information in job postings, as required by Washington law.
Who is eligible for an HP settlement payment?
You are a class member if:
- You applied for a job opening with HP Inc. or HP Health Solutions Inc. in the state of Washington.
- Your application was submitted between January 1, 2023, and March 26, 2025.
- The job posting for the position you applied to did not disclose the wage scale or salary range.
How much is the job posting class action payout?
Pro Rata Cash Payment: Each approved claimant will receive an equal payment from the net settlement fund. Final amount will be determined by the number of claims filed.
How to claim an HP class action rebate
To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a claim form by the deadline of July 8, 2025. You can file a claim online or complete the claim form included with your official settlement notice and mail it to the settlement administrator.

The settlement fund of $5,612,000 includes the following:
- Settlement administration costs: Not to exceed $25,000
- Attorneys' fees and costs: $1,655,540
- Service award to class representative: $25,000
- Payments to class members with valid claims: Remaining settlement funds

When is the HP Inc. job posting settlement payout date?
Payments will be mailed to eligible claimants approximately 75 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.

The class action lawsuit was filed because the plaintiff alleged that HP Inc. and HP Health Solutions Inc. violated Washington law by not disclosing wage scales or salary ranges in job postings.
