Class members are individuals who applied for a job with Emerald City Pizza in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and Sept. 2, 2026, in which the job posting for the position did not include the wage scale, salary range or a general description of benefits and other compensation.

How much is the Emerald City Pizza payout?

The total settlement fund is $376,000. After deducting attorneys' fees and costs, settlement administration costs and the service award to the class representative, the settlement administrator will divide the remaining amount equally among all class members.

The estimated payment for each class member is $1,107.44. The settlement administrator will report this amount as nonwage damages on a 1099 form.

No action needed to receive payment

Class members do not need to file a claim to receive payment. Those who do not exclude themselves will automatically receive their payment after the court finalizes the settlement.

Class members can update their address and/or choose an electronic payment method online using the login ID and PIN provided in their personalized notice. They can also update their address by printing and completing the PDF form and mailing it to the settlement administrator. Class members who do not elect a payment method will automatically receive payment by physical check.
