
Employment seekers who applied for a job with Delphinus Engineering Inc. in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 15, 2026, may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.
Delphinus Engineering Inc. agreed to pay between $1.8 million and $2.75 million to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to disclose the wage scale, salary range and/or a general description of benefits in job postings as required by Washington law.
Who can file a claim?
Class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening with Delphinus Engineering Inc. in the state of Washington.
- They submitted the application between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 15, 2026.
- The job posting did not include the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits for the position.
The company’s records indicate there are 1,098 potential class members.
How much can class members get?
Eligible class members who submit a valid claim form will receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. The exact amount each person receives depends on the total number of valid claims submitted, but the maximum per person is $5,000.
The settlement is structured as follows:
- If 549 or fewer class members submit claims, the settlement administrator will use the minimum fund of $1,802,386.04.
- For each additional claimant above 549, Delphinus Engineering will increase the fund by $1,716.96 per person up to the maximum fund of $2,745,000.
- If the calculated per-person payment would exceed $5,000, the administrator will donate the excess to the Legal Foundation of Washington and the Fair Work Center.
The settlement administrator classifies all payments as nonwage damages and will report them on IRS Form 1099.

Class members can file a claim online. There is no PDF claim form available on the site.

Required information
To file an online claim, class members must provide the unique ID and PIN from the settlement notice they received.
Payout options
The settlement administrator will mail checks to the address class members provide on their claim form. They must cash the checks within 180 days of issuance or the administrator will send the funds to the state of Washington's unclaimed property fund.

The $1,800,000 to $2,750,000 settlement fund includes:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $25,000
- Attorneys' fees: $809,775
- Attorneys' expenses: $5,000
- Service award to class representative: $20,000
- Payments to eligible class members: The remainder of the fund

When is the Delphinus Engineering Inc. settlement payout date?
If the court grants final approval and there are no appeals, the settlement administrator will mail payments after the final approval hearing.

The class action lawsuit claimed Delphinus Engineering Inc. failed to include required pay and benefits information in job postings for positions in Washington state as mandated by RCW 49.58.110.
