Assa Ablooy Entrance Systems US and related companies agreed to pay between $269,513 and $395,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging their job postings in Washington failed to disclose required wage or salary information and benefits as mandated by state law.

Who can file a claim?

Class members must meet all of the following criteria:

  • They completed a job application for a position in Washington state.
  • They submitted their application between Jan. 1, 2023, and July 26, 2025.
  • One of the defendant companies’ websites or an authorized third-party recruiting platform posted the job.
  • The job posting did not include a wage scale or salary range.

The settlement administrator used the defendants’ records to identify eligible class members. There are approximately 158 individuals in the class.

How much can class members receive?

Eligible class members who submit a valid claim form will receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. The total settlement fund ranges from $269,513 to $395,000, depending on the number of valid claims submitted.

  • If 50% or fewer, or 79, of the class members submit claims, the minimum total fund is $269,513.
  • For every additional valid claim above that number, Assa Abloy will increase the net fund by $1,588.45 per claimant up to a maximum of $395,000.
  • The settlement caps each class member’s payment at $5,000. If the calculated amount exceeds $5,000 per person, the administrator will distribute the excess to the Legal Foundation of Washington.
