Cowboy Channel Plus $1M VPPA Data Privacy Settlement

Consumers who subscribed to Cowboy Channel Plus in the United States between Sept. 25, 2022, and Oct. 9, 2024, may qualify to submit a claim for a cash payment from a class action settlement.

The Cowboy Channel LLC agreed to pay $1,000,000 to settle a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges the company disclosed subscribers’ personally identifiable information (PII) to Meta Platforms Inc., Google LLC and Yahoo Inc. without consent and in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

Who can file a claim for a Cowboy Channel Plus payout?

Class members are eligible to file a claim if:

• They are located in the United States.
• They have or had a subscription to Cowboy Channel Plus on cowboychannelplus.com.
• The subscription was active at any time from Sept. 25, 2022, to Oct. 9, 2024.

How much is the data privacy payout?

Pro Rata Payment: The exact amount each person receives will depend on how many valid claims are submitted.

How to claim a Cowboy Channel Plus class action rebate

To receive a settlement payment, eligible class members can file a claim online or download the PDF claim form, print it, fill it out and mail it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is July 1, 2025.
