
Consumers who received a written notification from Brown Integrated Logistics Inc. in late September 2024 stating a data breach may have compromised their personal information could qualify to claim up to $4,000 from a class action settlement.
Brown Integrated Logistics Inc. agreed to pay $150,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging an unauthorized party accessed its computer network in November 2023, exposing sensitive personal information. The lawsuit claims files accessed during the breach included:
- Names
- Addresses
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Taxpayer identification numbers
- Financial account details
- Medical information
- Health insurance information
Who can file a data breach claim?
Class members must have received a written notification via mail directly from Brown Integrated Logistics Inc. on or about Sept. 23, 2024, stating a data breach that occurred Nov. 13-Nov. 15, 2023, compromised their personal information.
How much can class members receive?
- Reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs: Up to $750 for documented expenses resulting from breach, such as costs for credit monitoring, identity theft insurance or other related expenses
- Reimbursement for attested time: Up to five hours at $20 per hour (maximum $100) for time spent remedying issues related to the data breach
- Reimbursement for financial losses: Up to $4,000 for proven, unreimbursed monetary losses resulting from identity theft, fraud or misuse of information most likely related to the data breach and not already covered by other categories
- Credit monitoring services: Two years of free credit monitoring with all three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion), including alerts, dark web scanning, identity theft insurance and assistance services
- Alternate cash payment: Instead of the above benefits, class members may opt for a flat $75 payment.
How to claim a settlement payment
Class members can file an online claim form or download, print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Nov. 4, 2025.

Required proof and documentation
- All class members must provide the class member ID located on their postcard settlement notice.
- To claim out-of-pocket costs, class members must provide documentation, such as receipts, bank statements or other records, showing the expenses are related to the data breach.
- To claim financial losses, class members must provide documentation, including proof of loss, efforts to recover the loss and evidence that the loss is not already covered by other reimbursement categories.
- To claim credit monitoring, class members must select the appropriate option and certify eligibility.
- To claim attested time, class members must provide a description of the activities they performed.
- To claim an alternate cash payment, class members must select the appropriate option and cannot claim any other benefits.
