Current and former employees who worked as a non-exempt employee for AT&T Mobility Services, New Cingular Wireless, AT&T Enterprises, AT&T Services or AT&T Inc. in Washington between July 11, 2022 and May 6, 2026, you may be qualify to receive a cash payment from a class action settlement. The settlement class includes 1,028 individuals.

AT&T has agreed to pay $1.75 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging the company failed to properly compensate employees for missed and noncompliant meal and rest breaks, in violation of Washington wage and hour laws.

Who is eligible for an AT&T settlement payout?

Class members are individuals employed as a non-exempt employee for AT&T Mobility Services, New Cingular Wireless PCS, AT&T Enterprises (formerly AT&T Corp.), AT&T Services or AT&T Inc. in Washington state at any time between July 11, 2022 and May 6, 2026.

How much are settlement payments?

Pro rata cash payment: Eligible class members will receive a pro rata cash payment. The final payment amount will be determined by the total number of work weeks worked during the qualifying period. 50% of the settlement payment will be reported as wages and the remaining 50% will be considered on-wage damages.

No claim form required

A claim form is not required to receive a settlement payment. Class members can submit a payment selection form online in order to receive an electronic payment.

Settlement fund breakdown

The $1,750,000 settlement fund will include:

  • Settlement administration costs: Up to $35,000
  • Attorneys’ fees: $583,333.33
  • Attorneys’ expenses: Up to $5,000
  • Service awards to class representatives: $35,000 each
  • Payments to eligible class members: Remaining settlement funds

  • Exclusion deadline: Aug. 6, 2026
  • Final approval hearing: Sept. 11, 2026

When is the AT&T wage and hour settlement payout date?

Payments will be issued to eligible class members approximately 52 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.

Why did this class action settlement happen?

This class action lawsuit was filed because plaintiffs alleged that AT&T failed to provide compensation for missed and noncompliant meal and rest periods, in violation of Washington wage and hour laws. AT&T denies the allegations, however agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty and cost of continued litigation and a possible trial.
