What Happened?
TWU Local 100 identified an intrusion on certain systems by an unauthorized third party. The breach was discovered after the union noticed suspicious activity and took action to secure their systems.
According to their investigation, specific data files were accessible to the unauthorized party for a limited time between Jan. 29, 2026, and Feb. 3, 2026. On April 15, 2026, the union determined that some of these files contained personal information.
The breach was linked to a ransomware attack by the group known as Qilin, who claimed responsibility and posted about the incident on the dark web on Feb. 23, 2026.

- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Health insurance subscriber identification numbers
The incident was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General on April 24, 2026, with at least nine Massachusetts residents affected.
