About One Medical Seniors

One Medical Seniors is a healthcare provider focused on delivering primary care services to adults age 65 and older, primarily those on Medicare. The company was originally known as Iora Health before being acquired by One Medical in 2021 and later rebranded as One Medical Seniors.

What Happened?

On June 13, 2026, One Medical Seniors discovered that an unauthorized person had gained access to a third-party file-storage system used to retain archived information for One Medical Seniors (formerly Iora Health). The breach occurred between June 8 and June 11, 2026. The company immediately secured the system, revoked all access, and launched an investigation.

The breach was limited to a file-storage platform used for archiving data from One Medical Seniors clinics. It did not impact other One Medical clinics, services, or the main electronic medical record system.

The incident affected patients at designated clinics in Atlanta, Cape Cod, Charlotte, Piedmont Triad, Denver, Houston, Phoenix, Tucson, and Seattle.

Additionally, a ransomware group known as ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for the breach and posted about it on the Tor network on June 17, 2026, alleging that 8.8TB of data was compromised.
