What Happened?

Empire Express experienced a data breach that was discovered on April 13, 2026.

The breach was the result of a ransomware attack by a group known as DragonForce, which claimed to have obtained nearly 94 GB of the company’s data and threatened to publish it on the dark web.

The incident was reported to the Maine and Massachusetts attorneys general on May 5, 2026, and affected a total of 5,438 individuals in the United States. Of the total affected, 435 Texas residents

The company notified affected individuals in writing on May 5, 2026.
