What Happened?
Bonick Landscaping experienced a data breach involving ransomware.
On April 10, 2025, a hacking group known as PLAY claimed responsibility for the attack and announced on the dark web that they had obtained the company’s database. The group threatened to publish sensitive information, including private and personal confidential data, client documents, budget, payroll, accounting, taxes, IDs and financial information.
The breach exposed the personal information of at least 2,356 people in Texas and one person in Massachusetts.
