PAMCAH Data Breach Exposes PHI and PII

Pamcah-UA Local 675 Health and Welfare Fund, a union-sponsored health and welfare trust based in Honolulu, Hawaii, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to employee email accounts in the fall of 2025.

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on Aug. 3, 2026. The fund also posted a notice about the breach on its website. The total number of individuals affected across the United States was not disclosed in the available filings.

Upon discovering unauthorized access to an employee account, the fund launched an investigation to determine the scope and nature of the incident.

The investigation determined that the unauthorized party had access to the compromised email accounts between Sept. 23, 2025, and Oct. 9, 2025. The unauthorized party may have acquired certain items contained within those email accounts.

The fund then conducted a detailed review of the contents of the items that the investigation indicated were potentially acquired. The review found that the types of personal information exposed varied from person to person.

The exposed information may have included names, dates of birth, health insurance information, medical information, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers and financial account information.

PAMCAH's response to the breach

The fund is offering affected individuals a complimentary two-year membership to Experian IdentityWorks Credit 3B.

Affected individuals can enroll in the credit monitoring service by visiting Experian's IdentityWorks website at experianidworks.com/3bcredit or by calling 877-288-8057. Each affected individual received a unique activation code in their notification letter and must enroll before the deadline specified in that letter.

The fund encouraged individuals to review the additional information enclosed with their notification for steps they can take to help protect their personal information.

The fund has set up a dedicated toll-free phone line for individuals who have questions about the breach or need further assistance. Individuals can call 844-958-8903, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hawaiian Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
